A culture of everyday innovation

At GROUPE ATLANTIC, innovation takes shape every day, in our business lines, at our industrial and service facilities, and in close alignment with the realities on the ground.

Driven by the ideas, expertise, and collaboration of our teams, this approach enables us to evolve our products, services, and ways of working to meet our customers’ needs and support the transformations taking place in our markets.

Training and supporting teams to bring innovation to life

To embed this approach within its business units, the Group relies on three complementary training programmes:

– Managers, innovation leaders;

– Developing innovation for project managers and experts;

– Design thinking facilitators.

The aim is to provide everyone with guidelines, methods and tools to help them contribute to innovation within their role and working environment.

Managers are supported in encouraging more collaborative ways of working.

Project managers and experts are helped to structure their approaches.

Facilitators lead collaborative workshops based on design thinking, focusing on practical applications and the search for concrete solutions

Useful methods for practical topics

This culture of innovation is reflected in very practical, day-to-day projects. It helps to improve working practices, resolve business challenges and drive the development of products and services.

It is also put into practice on the ground, within teams and at sites, through initiatives that encourage experimentation, continuous improvement and the sharing of ideas. The aim is simple: to develop useful solutions that are closely aligned with real needs.

POP CORN: ideas that become projects

GROUPE ATLANTIC organised POP CORN, its internal participatory innovation competition, on two occasions: in 2021 and again in 2023.

Open to all staff, it enables them to put forward ideas in response to shared challenges and to receive support in gradually turning these ideas into concrete achievements.

The initiative has successfully engaged teams around two key themes:

– Improving the customer experience

– Reducing environmental impact

Beyond simply calling for ideas, POP CORN harnesses collective intelligence and fosters innovation at the grassroots level. Some of these initiatives thus develop into fully-fledged development projects.

This is particularly true of the development of interfaces with accessibility features designed for people with visual impairments. Developed in collaboration with the R&D and design teams, tested with users and refined in consultation with charities, this has resulted in a more inclusive solution that is integrated into heating products.

Opening up to partners to take things further

The Group’s innovation is also fuelled by external collaborations. Through partnerships with start-ups and trials conducted with our clients, our teams explore new ideas and quickly test them in real-world scenarios.

This openness enriches our projects, accelerates their development and helps new solutions to emerge, complementing our in-house expertise.
